Huntington Beach is a seaside city in Orange County CA. Huntington Beach is known for its 10 mile (approx.) stretch of sandy beach; the city has a total area of 32 square miles.
The population is about 200,000, making it the most populous beach city in Orange County. It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean on the southwest, by Seal Beach on the northwest, by Costa Mesa on the east, and by Newport Beach on the southeast.
Huntington Beach (HB) has a number of newer, residential developments; both condominiums and single family homes. A large portion of the residences are second homes and/or vacation rentals. There are constant improvements occurring in the area, both in the community and private developments. There is not as strong a sense of a city/town center, although there is a tourist area at the beach with shops, restaurants and festive atmosphere, interspersed with residential properties.
